Can Hima see what I do in other apps?
No. Hima uses Apple's Screen Time framework, which hands it opaque tokens rather than app names or contents. It cannot read your messages, your feed, or anything you type. The apps you select and your Screen Time data stay on your iPhone and are never sent to our servers. The full picture is here.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no sign-in, and we never ask for your name, email or phone number. On first launch the app generates a random identifier that isn't linked to your name, email or phone, and that you can delete. It lives in your device's Keychain and is what keeps your subscription attached to your device. We can't turn it into a name or an address, because we never had one.
Does Hima work without an internet connection?
Yes, for its core app-limiting features. The pause keeps working offline.
Is this a parental control app?
No. Hima uses Screen Time with individual authorization, which means it manages only your own device. It isn't a parental-control or device-management product, and it can't be used to monitor someone else.
Is Hima a screen time tracker?
No, and that is on purpose. A tracker shows you a chart of yesterday. Hima steps in at the moment you reach for the app, before the feed loads. It also could not build a report about you if we wanted one: Apple's Screen Time framework hands your chosen apps to Hima as tokens it cannot read, and your Screen Time data never leaves your iPhone.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so cancelling happens in your Apple Account settings, not in Hima. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise it renews. You can keep using the free version afterwards.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings → Delete Account in the app. There's no login behind that name: what it deletes is the record described above—the random identifier, your subscription status and your push identifier. It does not cancel an active Apple subscription—do that separately in your Apple Account settings. Your settings and limits live on your device and go with the app if you delete it. Section 9 of the Privacy Policy says exactly what goes at once and what is kept.
Is Hima available on Android?
Not yet. Hima is an iPhone app today, built on frameworks that exist only on iOS. If you'd like to be told when that changes, write to us and say so.
The pause doesn't appear when I open an app.
Two common causes. First, Screen Time access may not be granted—check Settings → Hima focus → Screen Time on your iPhone. Second, the app has to be one you've actually selected in Hima's limits list; on the free plan that's one app at a time, so check which one is currently active.
I can't find the Screen Time permission screen.
Hima asks for access the first time you pick an app to pause. If you dismissed that prompt, remove the app from your limits and add it again to trigger it—or grant access directly in Settings → Screen Time on your iPhone.
I paid, but Premium isn't active. How do I restore a purchase?
Open Settings → Subscription inside Hima and tap Restore Purchases—the same option is also on the paywall itself. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so this reconnects your subscription without buying anything again. If it still doesn't update after a few seconds, write to us with your Apple ID's country and roughly when you subscribed.
How do I remove a limit or turn Hima off?
Open the app from your limits list and tap Remove from limits. If it's currently paused by an active Focus session or a quiet-hours rule, you'll need to wait for that to end first—Hima won't let a limit disappear while it's the thing actually holding right now.
